The Union government on Monday stated that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died in a plane crash in 1945. The Ministry of Home Affairs responding to an RTI query further clarified that man named Gumnamibaba or Bhagwanji, who was rumoured to be Bose reportedly living incognito in Uttar Pradesh till 1985, was not the nationalist leader himself.
