According to reports, a 14-year-old child actor was killed in July when a missile struck a car he was traveling in while  trying to escape the city of Aleppo. Qusai Abtini played a role in the first television comedy produced in rebel-held parts of Syria. "Umm Abdou the Aleppan", the series he starred in, was set in Aleppo, Syria's biggest city.
