K’taka CM orders probe into Sasikala’s alleged VIP treatment in jail

In the wake of allegations that AIADMK chief V K Sasikala paid Rs 2 crore to jail officials for special treatment, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah on Thursday reportedly ordered a high-level probe into the matter. Earlier, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Prisons) D Roopa, in her report, stated that Director General of Police (Prisons) HN Sathyanarayana Rao could be among the jail officials who received bribe from Sasikala, who is currently serving a sentence at the Parappana Agrahara central jail in Bengaluru.
