Ravi Viswanathan, president (growth markets), TCS, on Saturday said that the layoff numbers are exaggerated. Batting for IT sector, Viswanathan called the recent firing as ' the performance-related send-offs'. Furthermore, Viswanathan also said,"We will not see a decrease in technology spend across the globe. This will translate into more dependence on IT services which means we will need more people."
