An Indian scientist has reportedly designed a bullet-proof jacket and is set to manufacture it soon. According to reports, Dr Shantanu Bhowmick’s lightweight thermoplastic jacket cost only Rs 50,000, which is around Rs 1 lakh less than the jackets used currently by the military and para-military forces. Notably, the bullet-proof jacket has been approved by the Defence Ministry.
