To protest against Hindi imposition, Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker addresses Parliament in Tamil

Munisamy Thambidurai, the Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha addressed the parliament in his mother tongue, Tamil to protest against the imposition of Hindi by center. As soon as he started his speech, members of the house disrupted him, as they were unable to understand.

After many disruptions, he switched to English with a sarcastic note, "The government is trying to impose a particular language. Now, if I have to speak in Tamil, I'll have to get permission". He then urged the government not to impose any language on anyone and that one has to be allowed to talk in his mother tongue freely.
