Maharashtra: 20 farmers die of pesticide poisoning

In Maharashtra, pesticide poisoning has killed at least 20 farmers in September, say reports. Reportedly, the poisoning after spraying pesticides, some of them lethal mixtures, have affected over 600 farmers since early August when the first death was reported. After inhaling the poisonous pesticides, farmers showed symptoms like blurred vision, nausea, skin rashes, headaches and dizziness, say reports. While over 100 farmers are still recovering in hospitals, some of them are said to be critical, reports added.
