Gorakhpur doctor, who saved lives of many children, fired

According to reports, Dr Kafeel Khan, who saved the lives of hundreds of children in Gorakhpur hospital by arranging oxygen cylinders on his own, was removed as the Nodal Officer. Khan, who headed the encephalitis ward and is a paediatrician, borrowed three oxygen cylinders from other nursing homes when the oxygen supply was cut at BRD Hospital, say reports. Reportedly, the doctor even withdrew Rs 10,000 from his personal account to purchase 17 oxygen cylinders.
