The first stretch of Chennai underground metro rail is all set to open on Sunday, but the reported truth is the rail may not be affordable for a common man. According to reports by a Metro official, the ride in metro from Nehru Park to Chennai Airport could cost close to Rs 70. Notably, late Chief Minister J Jayalalitha launched the first phase of the metro in June 2015 with a maximum fare rate of Rs. 40.
