A 9-year-old boy died after he fell into a pit in a park in Delhi on Tuesday. According to police reports, the boy, Abdul Khalid, went to play in a park in Rohini's Avantika area along with friends last evening when he fell into the pit filled with rainwater. The pit, about 9 to 10 feet deep was dug to dump leaves for decomposition but was not covered, resulting in accumulation of rainwater inside, said a senior police officer.
