At least 19 maoists were reportedly killed in an encounter at a maoist camp in Malkangiri district on Monday. An official reportedly said at least 50-60 maoists gathered at a camp in the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border, when the security forces attacked. Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma reportedly said a few top leaders of the Maoist party might be among the dead, but it would take some time to confirm the same.
