Ilayaraja Yahoo Group meet - 2009

Ilaiyaraaja Yahoo Group meet was organized on 15th February, 2009. This was coordinated by Dr. J Vijay Venkatraman. You can find members of the group from all walks of life. The function was graced by Mr. Sadhanandham, Maestro’s Chief Guitarist. The main subject of discussion was the unique pattern of the maestro's music. There were elaborate debates on the different types of instruments used by the music director and the techniques adapted by the musical genius.

They did not stop with just discussing about the musical expertise of Ilaiyaraaja, but also went a step forward by singing to Ilaiyaraaja's tunes, accompanied by the instrumental treat offered by the members of the group. This made rounds, where one person gave his voice and the other played the instruments, creating an ambience of a live concert.
