Navdeep played the second hero in the film Arindhum Ariyamalum. He has a reasonable market in Telugu. So, he demands about Rs. 25 lakhs from Tamil producers which has made many beat a hasty retreat. He had already starred in Jairam produced by Radaan which was not a successful one.
