Sonakshi, daughter of actor-MP Shatruhan Sinha was signed up by Arbaaz Khan for his first production venture. After the story narration and other nitty-gritty, the debutante agreed to star in the film, which was supposed to have been directed by Abhinav Kayshap.

Apparently, the actress conducted her own research and arrived at a conclusion that all the heroines in Salman Khan’s flick were merely his arm candies and had no substantial role to play. Sonakshi, for this reason, decided to opt out of the film. However, the buzz from Salman Khan’s camp is that he considers the ongoing recession period not the right time to start a new venture.
