The Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots bagged eight technical awards at the 11th International Indian Film Festival, held this year at Colombo. The awards that this movie managed to take home are for Best Screenplay, Editing, Background Score, Cinematography, Dialogue, Best Sound Recording, Best Song Recording and Sound Re-recording.

Other than these eight awards, the film was also adjudged the Best Film and fetched its director Raj Kumar Hirani the Best Director Award.

The movie Aladin bagged the Best Art Direction Award, which went to Sabu Cyril, and Charles Darby (Eyecube Labs) got Best Special Effects (Visual).

Saif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal won the Best Choreography Award for its Choreographer Bosco Caesar and Anahita Shroff and Dolly Ahluwalia for the Best Costume Designing.
