Amitabh Bachchan has agreed to play the role of Noble Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore, sources say. The film, which is to be made in Malayalam, is set to begin soon. Recently, the actor has been showing keen interest in starring in South Indian films and it would not be surprising if we get to see him do more Tamil films.

Big B has already completed shooting for the multilingual film Kandahar, which also has Mohanlal. This film will be released soon, it is expected.
