Perarasu who directed Thirupaachi with Vijay in the lead is once again directing Vijay in the movie Sivagasi. The film, which is produced by popular producer A M Rathnam stars Vijay as a middle class youth. Asin who gathered crowd in the movie M Kumaran Son Of Mahalakshmi plays Vijay’s lead lady in the film. Other cast in the film includes Rajesh and Geetha as Vijay’s parents, Malayalam actor Murali as Asin’s father and Prakash Raj playing the mean villain ‘Udayappa’. Simran fans can feel happy, as there is an item number with Simran in the lead. Chandramukhi cinematographer Sekar Joseph cans this movie.
