Is it your childhood dream to be an actress?

I haven’t dreamt of becoming an actress. But my participation in school dramas and dances has led me into the Padmini School of acting, which initially led me into modeling and later into the film industry.

How did you happen to be in a Tamil movie then?

Director R V Udaikumar has seen my photo in some of the modeling session I happend to attend. He is the one who led me into the Kolly wood film industry.

Please tell us about your family?

My father Ram Rai is a businessman, mother Manjula is a housewife and my sisters Reshma and Ashwini don’t have much interest in the cine industry.

Have you won any beauty pageant titles?

I’ve won the Miss Belgam title for two years continuously.

Could you spare any words about the director of your recent Tamil film?

Director R V Udaikumar is the one who led me into the Tamil film industry; I’m acting in his film Karka kasadara starring Vikranth. He knows each and every plus and minus about me and I feel very much happy to work in his film.

What about your next film?

I’m acting along with Shivaraj Kumar in the film Valmeegi, It is not a Tamil film. I will be coming to Tamil films shortly.
