Now Hema Rukmani from Thenandal Studio Limited has given the official worldwide screen count of Mersal. As informed to you Vijay’s Mersal has received a ‘U/A’ certificate from the CBFC today, 6th of October. Do you know that no Vijay film has got nothing but U certificate in the past 8 years? Vettaikkaran was the last Vijay film that got a U/A and now Mersal and broken that streak.
From Sura to Bairavaa, 11 Vijay films have continuously got 'U' certificates. Even though Mersal has been censored with U/A, it is expected to be highly family-friendly like all Vijay films are.
