Strung together largely by a thread of witty one-liners and jokes, Krishnan Jayaraj’s Sonna Puriyathu is fun nevertheless.

The fact that the movie is hanging on to the charts is proof that it has had a decent run. The lean period has helped.

Krishnan Jayaraj’s Sonna Puriyathu does not have so much of a story but Shiva’s sentence to sentence smart dialogues and a decent supporting cast render the movie its charm.

The movie’s weekend collections are average and hence it is holding on to the charts.

A somewhat disjointed narrative is a letdown, but the movie has had promise.

Sonna Puriyathu’s strength is Shiva’s wisecracks. But is that just enough? Directed by Krishnan Jayaraj, the movie has Vasundhara playing the female lead.

Reviews have not been kind enough for Sonna Puriyathu and the movie registered an average opening.

The James Bond-esque posters, may be.
