Masks have been used since antiquity for a variety of purposes – disguise, entertainment and performance. Needless to say there is something enigmatic and alluring about a man who hides his real self with a mask for whatever purpose. Jiiva has gotten us hooked onto his masked look in Mugamoodi as he is totally rocking in his new avatar as superhero. In his honor, let us take a look at the masked men in Tamil cinema starting with Jiiva himself who is arguably the coolest of them all.

VIKRAM IN ANNIYAN

Vikram and Shankar certainly know how to push the envelope. Vikram’s curly, black and extremely lengthy tresses doubled as a weird mask to cover his features. Vikram also sported a mask for the introduction of his Remo character in the Kadhal Yaanai track.
