I would have come anyway - Event Story

Feb 13, 2013

Vathikuchi’s music was released in a grand event yesterday, 13th February, at the Express Avenue complex. The film is an AR Murugadoss and Fox Star production and is Kinslin’s maiden project as a director. Ghibran of ‘Vagai Sooda Vaa’ fame has composed the songs.

Dhileepan, AR Murugadoss’ younger brother, debuts as the lead and Anjali, Sampath and Jayaprakash are also part of the ensemble. The launch, apart from the team was also attended by Vijay and Thanu.

AR Murugadoss was extremely delighted at the presence of Vijay. “I had no clue whom to invite for this audio launch. Out of the blue, an idea struck and I immediately sent an SMS to Vijay requesting him to attend the event. He immediately agreed,” enthused Murugadoss. He also pointed out that Vijay had come all the way from Mumbai, leaving all his schedules, to honour his request.

Vijay was as calm as ever during the event. Responding to Murugadoss’ praises, he said, “I would have attended the event either way, even if he hadn’t invited me. After all he is a very successful producer, director and a very good friend.” He also wished the entire Vathikuchi team a very successful run.

Kalipuli S Thanu, the producer of Thuppakki, was all praise for the duo, Vijay and AR Murugadoss. He even called Vijay the “Vasool Chakravarthy”. Thaanu, then detailed his acquaintance with Vathikuchi’s lead, Dhileepan, who had worked as an assistant in his production venture, Sakarakatti.

RJ Dheena entertained the crowd with his witty one-liners and the event came to a wrap with the dignitaries revealing the audio disk of Vathikuchi.
