Ilayathalapathy Vijay title card from Theri used in Bairavaa

Rajinikanth is very well known for his ‘Super Star Rajni’ title card before the beginning of every movie of his. This practice began in 1992, from his blockbuster hit film, Annamalai, directed by Suresh Krissna. This title card, with a formation of the words Super Star in blue dots and Rajni in a yellow font will be accompanied by the film’s background score. The same card, featuring Annamalai’s background score was used for all of Rajini’s films until Sivaji, when Shankar and AR Rahman decided to create a modified and stylish version of the same using Sivaji’s background music and that was carried forward until Kabali.

Similarly, Vijay also has his own trademark title card with the respective film’s massy background music accompanying it. Every film will mostly have its own style for the wordings, ‘Ilayathalapathy Vijay’.

Interestingly, for Bairavaa, there is no particular title card with the title song,’Varlaam Varlaam Vaa’, if that’s what the fans are expecting. The film begins with the title card and background music of Vijay’s 2016 super hit film, Theri. Will this continue for Vijay’s 61st film, considering the fact that Theri was also directed by Atlee? Let us wait and see!
