Arya talks about his Jallikattu controversy at Santhana Devan press meet

As we all know, director Ameer is currently making his next film, Santhana Devan starring brothers, Arya and Sathya and also himself. The film’s music is to be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and it is said to be about Jallikattu which is expected to come out this year.

The team held a press meet today (13th Jan) in which there were a number of revelations. Ameer said that the movie was planned almost one year ago but it was pushed to a later date due to Arya’s commitments.

In a recent tweet, Arya had jokingly asked, ‘What is Jallikattu’ when questioned about his take on the Jallikattu issue in Tamil Nadu. There was a major rage from the general public, following this.

At the press meet, the Raja Rani actor addressed this issue by saying, ‘’Nobody cares about the good things I spoke about Jallikattu before and after the controversy. I had jokingly asked that and people just decided to make use of it to make news’’. He also added, ‘’We are not doing Santhana Devan just because of the hype now. It has always been a dream for me to work with Ameer sir.’’
