"YOUR COMMAND HAS BEEN FULFILLED...": PONNIYIN SELVAN ACTOR ASSURES TRISHA! HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED - IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Jayam Ravi plays the titular role of Ponniyin Selvan aka Arulmozhi Varman, Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Karthi will essay Vandhiyathevan, who is Adithya Karikalan’s trusted aide and friend. Trisha essays the role of Kundavai and Aishwarya Rai is set to play the role of Nandini and Mandakini Devi. 

The shooting of the film is going on in full swing and being held in multiple schedules across many cities. After finishing schedules in Pondicherry and Hyderabad, the team travelled to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Orchha temple, Narmada river and a few other unrevealed locations. The team is also expected to shoot some important scenes in Pollachi as well. Although no official information is out yet, Actor Karthi had mentioned about this weeks ago in a reply tweet to his co-star Jayam Ravi. 

Actor Jayam Ravi was the first to complete his portions for the magnum opus. He penned an emotional note on twitter weeks back about his experience on working in the movie. Replying to it, Karthi said, "Prince @actor_jayamravi, you cannot bid goodbye so soon! You have a lot to do for the Chola Dynasty. In six days, we will finish work in the North and head back to the South - Vandhiyathevan." Actor Vikram has also completed shooting for the two parts of the movie. 

A month later, the 'Sulthan' actor has now hinted that he has completed shoot for the period drama. "Princess Trisha, your command has been fulfilled, Prince Jayam Ravi, my work has been done!" However, it is not clear as to what the 'command' means here. We will have to wait and see!

'Ponniyin Selvan' is being jointly bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran and Mani Ratnam, under their Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners. Ravi Varman cranks the camera for the movie and Sreekar Prasad is taking care of the editing of this movie, whose music is composed by AR Rahman. The magnum opus also has Brinda Master on board as the choreographer while Sham Kaushal will be taking care of the action sequences.
