VJ CHITHRA DEATH CASE: ACTRESS SARANYA AND CHITHU NEIGHBOURS QUESTIONED BY RDO - VIDEO

Chitra’s parents had alleged foul play in her death. Considering that she was only married for about two months prior to her demise, an RDO investigation was mooted into her suicide as it is in the case of women who die under suspicious circumstances in under seven years of marriage.

Initially, Chithu’s parents and parents-in-law were subject to the investigation. Her husband Hemnath was arrested for abetment of suicide post five-six days of investigation.

It was expected that her friends and fellow actresses in the industry might be questioned next. In this regard, her pal Sharanya was questioned today. A lot of people including her neighbours and the room boy of the hotel she had stayed have been questioned. The RDO investigation is looking into whether she had any work-related or any other pressure that might have pushed her into taking the extreme step.

Chitra was popular for her role of Mullai in the hit serial Pandian Stores.
