Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Allu Arjun, Dhanush, Surya and Vishal are some of the celebrities amongst others to pay rich tributes to the late technician.
KV Anand had a heart attack and passed away today at 3 am. He has worked in several languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
Vishal’s first film was Chellame, for which KV Anand cranked the camera. The movie was directed by Gandhi Krishna. Vishal took to Twitter and wrote - “Deeply Shocking & Completely Shattered to hear the news that India’s most renowned Cinematographer #KVAnand passed away, this is not a News that can be easily digested, completely numb & have no words beyond this, may his soul #RIP Deepest condolences to his family #RIPKVAnand.” (sic)

KV Anand began his career in films as a cinematographer with his debut being Thenmavin Kombath in Malayalam and later turned to direction. Kana Kanden was his first directorial venture. KV Anand's last outing was 'Kaappaan' with Suriya, Arya, and Sayesshaa in the lead roles. The film was bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
