Vijay Sethupathi's Karuppan is, unfortunately, facing last-minute release and finance issues.
The early shows for the film, which was scheduled to start from 8 AM, in various theatres, have been cancelled as the theatre owners haven't received the KDM license from the producer. The International premieres have also been apparently called off due to the same issue. Makkal Selvan's fans were seen disappointed when they got to know that the first show has been cancelled.
However, the makers solved the issue very soon and the shows started from 10 am.

Earlier in the day, we had reported that Karuppan's early morning shows were canceled due to financial issues. Since it is a festival day, even theatres in Chennai city had special early morning shows. People who woke up early to catch the film were utterly disappointed.
We now have some happy news for all Vijay Sethupathi fans. The issue has been sorted now, and the shows have started in some screens across Tamil Nadu. Some of the theatres will soon begin screening.
