RIP: VIJAY'S HIT FILM DIRECTOR PASSES AWAY - STARS AND FANS OFFER CONDOLENCES

Tamil film director Babu Sivan first worked as an assistant director to director Dharani. He later worked as a dialogue writer for the film - Bhairava, which starred actor Vijay.

He had directed the 2009 film 'Vettaikkaran' with Vijay and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. Babu Sivan did not direct any film after this film. After a long hiatus, he directed the Rasaththi serial which aired on Sun TV.

Babu Sivan was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai two days ago due to ill health. He passed away last night despite of treatment. According to reports, the director, who had been unconscious for the past two days, had suffered kidney and liver damage.
