Vignesh Shivn's first feature film was Poda Podi, which starred Simbu and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead. He had also directed Suriya and Keerthy Suresh starrer Thaana Serndha Kootam. He is said to be directing a feature with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead next. He is also bankrolling Netrikann, which stars his beloved in the lead.

Nayanthara, on her part, has Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and RJ Balaji helmed Mookuthi Amman besides other projects.
