Director Vetrimaaran’s next is with comedian Soori as the lead. At the 67th National Film Awards that was announced recently, Vetrimaaran won the Best Director award for Asuran. Asuran also won the award for the Best Tamil Film. The film's protagonist Dhanush won the Best Actor award which he shared with Manoj Bajpayee.

Director Vetrimaaran is a busy man with multiple films in hand. It is learnt that Vijay Sethupathi will play a major role in his film with Soori. Ilayaraaja is composing the music for the movie.

While the film is based on a story by writer Jayamohan, not much is known about the movie’s title. Now, we have come to know that the second schedule of the project was completed yesterday in Chengalpet. Besides this untitled film, Vetrimaaran is also at the helm of Suriya’s Vaadivaasal.
