Suriya, who donned the producer’s hat with Jyothika’s ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’, is back with his next film as a producer, with ‘Uriyadi 2’, which is the sequel to the 2016 acclaimed film ‘Uriyadi’. Here’s a super exciting update on the release date of this movie.
It was earlier reported that the movie will be hitting the screens on the 17th of May. However, the movie is said to have a release sooner than expected. Sources close to us have now revealed that the film is scheduled for a release on the 5th of April.
‘Uriyadi’, based on caste and politics had a good run at the box office, and ‘Uriyadi 2’ is also touted to be on the same cards. The shooting of the film had been completed recently, and the post production work is going on in full swing. The audio launch of the movie is scheduled to take place on the 23rd of March, and the release date will possibly be revealed officially.
‘Uriyadi 2’ stars Vijay Kumar, ‘Parithabangal’ fame Sudhakar and Vismaya in lead roles, and has music by Govind Vasantha of ‘96’ fame. Cinematography is by Praveen Kumar, while Linu M has handled the cuts. The movie is bankrolled by Suriya under the banner 2D Entertainment.
