Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was last seen in Seenu Ramasamy's 'Kanne Kalaimaane' is a popular producer, actor and involves very much in politics. He was seen actively campaigning for DMK, during the recent Lok Sabha Elections and was in Tour throughout Tamil Nadu. He forayed into movies as a lead actor in director Rajesh's 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' in 2012 and continues to have a consistent acting career.
Udhayanidhi's father MK Stalin, who is now DMK's party leader is popularly referred as 'Thalapathy' in the political circle, right from the time when he used to hold one of the important position, the 'Secretary' post of the party's youth wing. He had held the post in the party for a very long time for about 30 years. Later when MK Stalin took up the party leader position after the demise of M. Karunanidhi, the Youth Wing Secretary position was given to Vellakovil Swaminathan, who has reportedly resigned the post recently.
And the latest news is that Udhayanidhi Stalin has been appointed as the new Youth Wing Secretary post of the party and thereby he will now get the position of 'Thalapathy' Stalin's one of the most popular posts of the party.

On the movie front, Udhayanidhi is currently involved in various films, including 'Psycho' by Myskkin which has Ilayaraja in the music and PC Sreeram is handling the cinematography and also 'Angel' with Rajput Payal and Ananthi in the lead by KS Adhiyaman.
