Apart from the big screens, he had also played the lead role in a serial that was aired in Vijay TV - titled 'Rettai Vaal Kuruvi'. Post his CWC, he went on to bag a handful of interesting projects including Enna Solla Pogirai (debut as a hero ), an untitled film directed by Prabhu Solomon and so on to name a few.

Coming back to Enna Solla Pogirai, the film is directed by by debutant Hariharan with music by Vivek Mervin, cinematography by Richard M Nathan. The film is said to be a breezy romantic entertainer with Teju Ashwini and Avantika Mishra playing the female leads.

Produced by Trident Arts, the film will also feature another ‘Cook With Comali’ fame - Pugazh. The first look was released in October and there were also a few singles which were released from the film. Now the makers have dropped the teaser for the film. Ashwin is seen walking across the shoreline at a beach as he narrates his love story. The teaser then cuts to showing both the female leads - Avantika and Teju Ashwini, and how Ashwin is part of both their lives. 

Ashwin Kumar was last seen in 'Oh Manapenne', the Tamil remake of the Telugu film 'Pelli Choopulu'. The movie starred Harish Kalyan and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles and was recently released on Disney+Hotstar. Apart from movies, Ashwin was also a part of famous music videos like 'Kutty Pattas', 'Adipoli' and 'Yaathi Yaathi'. He is working on 'Meet Cute' an upcoming anthology film which has five short segments. Tollywood star Nani is presenting the anthology under his banner Wall Poster Cinema and it has an ensemble of stars acting in it.
