STR'S MAANAADU DIRECTOR GOES SARCASTIC TO CLARIFY HIS FILM'S LATEST TEASER CONTROVERSY - WHAT HAPPENED?
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsThe multi-faceted actor STR was last seen on screen in his recent release, Eeswaran that had hit the big screens on January 14 as Pongal treat for fans. The film had received mixed responses from the audiences and critics alike.
He has a number of films lined up in his kitty which includes Maanaadu, an extended cameo in Paathu Thala, another film with Susienthiran which is expected to be released for Diwali, a yet-to-be-titled film with director Ram and another interesting film with the famous duo - Gautham Menon and AR Rahman.
On the actor’s birthday, as part STR’s birthday treat, Maanaadu teaser was released which has super-thrilled the fans. However, a sect of people has compared the teaser to Christopher Nolan's Tenet due to reverse concept, and now the director has officially clarified it.
Venkat Prabhu tweeted, “I am very honored that people are comparing our #maanaaduteaser with #tenet but unfortunately this ain’t connected with it! To be honest even I didn’t understand #tenet! Wait for our trailer! Then u might compare us with some other film!!”
