Recently, several actors and technicians from the film industry are accepting pay cuts in support of producers during and after the industry lockdown due to Covid-19.

'Soodhu Kavvum' actor Aruldoss decides to work on committed films with no pay to support producers

Actor Aruldoss, who is known for his supporting roles in Tamil films such as ‘Soodhu Kavvum’, ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ and ‘Dharmadurai’, has decided to work without any salary on the films that he has committed until December 2020.

The actor, who has worked in the media field as an assistant cameraman, cameraman and as an actor, has credited his growth to his directors, assistant directors and producers. “Directors have given me chances in films, but the producers have been paying me. Everything I own today is all earned from the salary that my producers have paid me.”, the actor said.

Regarding this decision, the actor’s statement says, “During these tough times, many associations and celebrities from the industry have been helping those in need. However, shooting and the release of films is going to be a challenge for producers. As my contribution, I have decided to work on all my films until December 2020 without any salary to extend my support and gratitude to my producers and directors. I do not earn in crores, but will be able to manage with sufficient help. I believe his step will give me utmost satisfaction”.

Aruldoss was last seen in ‘Magamuni’ starring Arya, directed by Santhakumar.
