VETERAN SINGER TAKES AN IMPORTANT DECISION

Veteran singer S Janaki who has been drenching the listeners with her mellifluous voice has decided to call it a day.

As per reports, her swan song would be in a Malayalam film 10 Kalpanakal, a lullaby number Ammapoovinu scored by Mithun Easwar which would feature Anoop Menon, Meera Jasmine and others. Reports state that the singer has decided to call it quits and that she would not be singing in stage shows too.

S Janaki has recorded close to 48,000 songs in her glowing career, and has won four National Awards and 32 state film awards.

In the recent years, Janaki has sung the song Amma Amma from Velai Illa Pattadhari and the Thandayum number from the latest Jiiva starrer Thirunaal.
