All the buzz last evening was the news about Shruthi Haasan opting out of Thenandal Studios' mega-budget historical venture, Sangamithra. The immediate question was, 'Who will replace her?' We at Behindwoods immediately carried a poll on Twitter asking our followers who they would want as a replacement for Shruthi. Our options were Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara, Kajal Aggarwal and Tamannaah.

There was a great rush for the votes as they poured in. Anushka had the upper hand while Nayanthara closely followed her. There could be many other options which Sundar C and the team are on the look-out for. It was extensively discussed that the team had initially approached Deepika Padukone for the role, even before Shruthi.

Now, after the project has taken off with some huge recognition in the form of promotions through Cannes Film Festival, is there a chance that a prima donna from Bollywood could be roped in for the role? Is there a chance it could be Hansika, as she has been the regular choice for Sundar C? We need to wait for an update from the makers to find out!
