Samantha, a leading actress in South Indian cinema, is best known for her role in the Telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Neethaane En Ponvasantham, Super Deluxe, Family Man 2 which received great reviews.

Samantha, who hails from Chennai's Pallavaram, is currently starring in Dream Warriors' new films 'Shakuntalam' and 'Yashoda' in Telugu, directed by Shantaruban Gnanasekharan.
