COVID-related deaths in the film industry is still continuing. Especially this year, many talented artists from SP Balasubramaniam, the most important singer in the South Indian film industry to actors Vivek and Pandu have passed away owing to COVID.

Now, poet and lyricist Poovachal Khader, who ruled Malayalam cinema from the 1970s and 80s had passed away owing to Cardiac arrest when he was undergoing treatment for Covid-19.

Poovachal Khader has written over 1500 songs in over 400 films, captivating Malayalam fans with his romantic melodic songs. Poovachal Khader, who was earlier admitted to the Trivandrum Government Hospital with COVID.
