Actor Rajinikanth's upcoming movie scheduled for Pongal release is AR Murugadoss directed 'Darbar'. The movie features Nayanthara as the leading lady, Suniel Shetty as the villain and Anirudh as the music director. It is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
Also, the actor is currently working on Director Siva's Thalaivar 168, produced by Sun Pictures with a wide star ensemble of Meena, Khushboo, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Sathish, Soori amongst others.
That being said, the actor has recently tweeted about the ongoing CAA Protests. Nationwide protests have been taking place, due to the Citizen Amendment Act that has been passed. Rajinikanth has tweeted that violence will never be a solution to problems, and he has requested that peace and order be maintained in the country for national safety and security. Rajinikanth has also noted that the acts of violence has been quite painful for him. Catch his tweet here.
