BEFORE PETTA AND VISWASAM, RAJINI AND AJITH CLASHED THIS ONE TIME ONLY!

The announcement of Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta release date just came in. The Karthik Subbaraj directorial will be hitting the screens for Pongal 2019 along with Thala Ajith's Viswasam.

Previously, in Tamil, Rajinikanth's films have clashed with other top stars that also include Vijay. But, never has a Rajini film clashed with Ajith's film in the box office. 

Petta will be the first time these two stalwarts will be clashing on the big screen. However, there is one incident in the past where an Ajith starrer and a Rajini film coincided on release date.

Ajith and Vijay acted together in Rajavin Parvayile, that released on August 4th, 1995. On the same day, Rajini's Hindi film Aatank Hi Aatank hit the screens up north.
