Sources have it that Prabhudeva has signed a two-film deal with Abhishek Films Ramesh Pillai - one movie is to be directed by Manjapai Raghavan, another film is with Mani Ratnam’s assistant Sriram who will be making his debut. Shoot is planned for 2021.
Earlier, it was reported that Prabhudeva would be joining Kamal Haasan in Vikram to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The duo had earlier shared screen space in Kadhala Kadhala which was a blockbuster hit.
Vikram is touted to be a political thriller. The makers are eyeing to release the movie ahead of the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. With Kamal also starting his own political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam, a release right before the elections seems like a masterplan.
Lokesh Kanagaraj has had an impressive career in K-town with successful movies such as Maanagaram and Kaithi. He is also ready with Vijay Master which will hit the marquee for Pongal 2021.
Kamal Haasan also has Shankar’s Indian 2 in the pipeline for a grand release. His very own Thalaivan Irukkiran is also on the cards and an official update on these projects are awaited.
