Following which, a case has been registered at Annapoorneshwari Nagara police against Sushmitha's husband and her in-laws.
Reportedly, in her suicide note that was found, the singer had written a message to her mother in which she had revealed that she was being harassed by her in-laws and her husband regarding dowry issues. Sushmitha got married to Sharath Kumar in 2018.
The investigation is going on and the search for the singer’s husband who is said to have gone absconded soon after the suicide is still going on. This piece of news came as a shock to the industry.
