PC Sreeram talks about his police complaint against FEFSI Siva

P C Sreeram, the ace cinematographer and the President of South Indian Film Cinematographers Association (SICA) had lodged a complaint with the city Police Commissioner against former President Siva in connection with discrepancies in financial matters managed by the Ex-body.

We spoke to PC Sreeram and also Ramnath Shetty, current Treasurer of SICA.

PC Sreeram said, “Accountability is a major issue with the old body. No proper account was submitted by them till date. They have not even answered properly to their own auditors”.

Ramnath Shetty said, “In January 2015, a star night was conducted in Malaysia on behalf of SICA for a deal of 3.75 crores with a private TV channel. But for an amount of 40 lakhs, there is no account submitted till date despite repeated queries on this. They have also not filed IT returns properly for the last 8 years.

The new elected body came into office from January 2016 and we have been asking them for this since then. We have gone to the police as our plea was not responded till now by them. If we had got the account for 40 lakhs and if the IT returns were filed properly, we would have received a lot of donations to SICA which would have enabled us to help the aged cinematographers belonging to SICA”.
