Malaysia-based independent musician, singer and actor Mugen Rao rose to fame with his memorable stint as the participant of Bigg Boss 3, thereby emerging as the show's title winner.

Post his Bigg Boss Season 3 stint, Mugen had officially signed and announced his first movie, Vettri, which is to be directed by Veppam fame director Anjana Alikhan. The movie will be bankrolled by Shirdi Productions. Anukeerthy Vas is a part of the movie too.

Post which, he had announced his next upcoming film which has been titled as Velan. Directed by Kavin Moorthy K, the film will feature a bunch of talents - Prabhu, Soori, Thambi Ramaya amongst others.

Velan has locked Meenakshi Govindharajan of Kennedy Club fame as the female lead. The film features Gopi Sundar as the music director and is bankrolled by Kalaimagan Mubarak. Now in a recent character poster from the movie, it has been revealed that Brigida will be playing the role of the name 'PAVITHRA', similar to her popular role as PAVI TEACHER. The actress debut in big screen with Dhruv Vikram's Varmaa. Check out the poster here:
