Besides Netrikann, Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman is set to release this Diwali on Hotstar. The film is produced by Vels International Ishari Ganesh and directed by RJ Balaji.

She also has Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvakkula Rendu Kadhal in the pipeline. Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi are also a part of the cast. Anirudh scores music.

Nayan has also signed a Malayalam thriller Nizhal opposite Kunchacko Boban. This is the first time the two actors are coming together. Nizhal is helmed by award-winning editor turned director Appu N Bhattathiri in the latter’s directorial debut.

The announcement of the film was made by celebrated actor Fahadh Faasil. The poster looks quite intriguing. The movie is said to be of the thriller genre.

Nizhal is produced by Anto Joseph along with Abhijith M Pillai, Badusha, Felini TP and Ginesh Jose. The film is written by S Sanjeev. Cinematography is by Deepak D Menon and music by Sooraj S Kurup. Appu will edit the movie alongside Arunlal SP.

Nayanthara’s last Malayalam movie was as the female lead in Nivin Pauly’s Love Action Drama that released in 2019. Kunchacko, meanwhile, was last seen in Anjaam Paathira, wher he played a consulting criminologist helping the police in a serial murder case.
