Priyanandan is a Malayalam National Award winning director. He has recently published a poem on his facebook page supporting women’s entry into the Sabarimala temple. This post was later removed due to severe backlash.
Today, an anonymous person has thrown cow dung on him near his house in Thirssur during his morning walk. While explaining this incident he had said that usually he takes his morning walk by 7 AM but had come out of his house only around 9 AM due to some delay and this incident had happened.
He also said that there are many people behind this incident and also said that the BJP has already threatened him after his post and alleged that these party members were only behind this attack on him.
However, the state’s spokesperson of BJP, B Gopalakrishnan has denied the party’s involvement in this. The director further said that he had filed a complaint and will law take this further. Reportedly, the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has condemned the attack.
