Mohan Raja is a very successful filmmaker who enjoys a great winning rate with most of his films turning out to be box office hits. However, all his initial films were remakes until he teamed up with Vijay for Velayudham. 

Mohan Raja claims that working with Vijay in Velayudham gave him so much of confidence to make direct films. The film went on to be a commercial success. It's been 7 years since the release of Velayudham and Mohan Raja took to his Twitter space to share a few words about the film.
