Malayalam scriptwriter Hashir Mohamed jailed for roaming naked and misbehaving with a woman!

'Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi' is a Dulquer Salmaan film that has a distinctive flavor embedded in its soul. The movie tells the story of two friends, Kasim (Dulquer) and Suni (Sunny Wayne) who went by road to Nagaland to win back Kasim's love. Directed by acclaimed cinematographer Sameer Thahir, it was scripted by Hashir Mohamed. Hashir has also written the segment 'Aami' directed by Anwar Rasheed in the romantic anthology film '5 Sundarikal'.

According to reports, on 28 February 2014 Hashir came out of his apartment in Kochi naked and befuddled, and misbehaved with a woman from the same building. The residents tied him down and handed him over to the police. The police said that they retrieved drugs from his apartment and upon interrogation, Hashir claimed that he was just obeying God Almighty's orders to commit the seven deadly sins.

After a three year long trial, the Ernakulam Sessions Court has now sentenced Hashir a three and a half years in prison and a fine of Rs 40,000/-for various cases. He can concurrently serve his time, which actually reduces his term to two years. This consideration was given to Hashir based on his claim that he is the sole support of his aged parents and his clean record prior to the incident.
